Why DigiPen's Computer Science Education Is Different
DigiPen Institute of Technology is a four-year college in Redmond, WA famous for offering one of the first ever degrees in video game development. The school has gone on to become a powerhouse in the video game and animation industry. I was asked to help come up with some creative ways to communicate what makes their computer science programs unique, so I pitched this multimedia animated GIF comic, combining live footage of an interview I conducted with the school's CS program director with hand-drawn 2D animation and a few 3D elements. I collaborated with our team's web developer who made the adaptive code work, as well as our team's art director, who gave me feedback on my storyboard and style pitch sheets you see above. We settled on a Tintin-inspired "ligne claire" look. I designed and animated the comic on my own using Photoshop and After Effects.
